Visit RhodoGardens
In the Springtime
RhodoGardens is a feast for the eyes of any rhododendron lover. It is
the result of a true lifetime passion Russ and Velma Haag have had for
these marvelous plants. Velma, now 93 but still active in the garden, would
certainly welcome you to visit and enjoy the flowers. The sign pictured
below reflects her sentiments:
Although the
blooming season will somewhat depend upon the weather through the Winter
and Spring months, it typically runs from mid-April through early June.
If you would like to come and visit, please drop us an email so we can
plan on when you’ll be visiting and to provide you with specific driving
directions. The close-by town of Brevard is quaint and unhurried, and
there are a number of great restaurants and nice places to stay
locally if you’ll be in the area overnight. In terms of driving time,
Asheville, NC, and Greenville, SC, are about an hour away, with Knoxville,
TN, and Atlanta, GA, more like 3 hours driving time.
See you soon.
